PADI ADVENTURES IN DIVING

The PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER course is offered by Jack's Dive Center, Inc. Jack's Dive Center has been training divers since 1975. We are PADI facility #20 out of over 20,000 facilities world wide.
CONGRATULATIONS! You are about to expand your knowledge in the exciting world of SCUBA DIVING! The Jack's Dive Center Advanced Open Water SCUBA course involves students in various underwater tasks that are designed to broaden your awareness of the environment and your capabilities as divers. This course consists of 1 evening classroom session and 5 Open Water training dives conducted over one weekend.
Ideal for the novice and more experienced diver alike. This course is designed to immediately follow your open water class and will introduce you to a variety of different diving techniques to further develop your diving skills in the water. There is one or 2 classroom session to go over the required homework and to discuss the format for the weekend training dives. These training dives are divided into five specialty area's. UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY OR MULTILEVEL DIVING, UNDERWATER NAVIGATION, NIGHT DIVING, DEEP DIVING AND SEARCH AND RECOVERY.

DATES)9 AM To Be Announced REQUIREMENTS: Students must be a certified Open Water Diver and be capable of performing the exercises required for the PADI Open Water Diver certification. Participants must read the Adventures in Diving textbook and submit the answers to the SCUBA Tune-Up and Knowledge Review questions for each of the sections covered in this course. This is due on the evening of class or submitted before the first training dive.
EQUIPMENT: All equipment and materials are available at Jack's Dive Center, Inc. at substantial student discounts. Students are required to have the following equipment and materials to participate in the course: PADI Adventures in Diving Crew Pack, or CD Rom, mask, fins, snorkel, BCD with low pressure inflator, regulator, alternate air source, submersible pressure gauge, weight system, appropriate exposure suit, hood, gloves, dive knife, depth gauge and timing device, or dive computer, compass, whistle, dive light, tank light, strobe beacon, super tube, underwater slate, dive tables, log book, and at least two full tanks. In addition, each buddy team is required to have a dive flag, float, line and handle.
