SCUBA DIVER TRAINING

PADI DEEP DIVER

(PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION of DIVING INSTRUCTORS)

Class limited to 8 students ---- Minimum age is 15yrs.

The PADI DEEP DIVER course is offered by Jack's Dive Center, Inc.  Jack's Dive Center has been training divers since 1975.

Have you ever wondered just what is down past 60 feet?  Have you ever seen the beautiful marine organisms that were just out of reach past 60 feet and wanted to take a look, up close and personal?  Join us in safely learning about deep sea marine life.  Just as terrestrial animals populate different land masses, submarine animals occupy a 3rd dimension, the ocean depths.  Many marine creatures not normally seen are in the depth range down to 130 feet.  Join us as we explore the mysteries contained in the deeper depths of our oceans!  Beautiful walls & numerous wrecks are now available for us to explore at deeper depths each with their own unique marine life.

This course consists of  one classroom session and four training dives.  The dives to be conducted over a two day period.  During the classroom session you will learn the fundamentals and theory needed to safely dive deep.  During your training dives we will apply what we have learned in the classroom to enable you to safely dive to depth's beyond the Open Water Diver limits.  The course will include planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of deep diving.  Risk factors and decompression-tables review.  Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures.  Special equipment, descent lines and buoyancy-control considerations.  Procedures for flying after diving and high altitude diving.  Orientation to recompression chambers.

REQUIREMENTS:  Students must be a certified Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.  Minimum age is 15yrs.

EQUIPMENT:  All equipment and materials are available at Jack's Dive Center, Inc. at substantial student discounts.  Students are required to have the following equipment and materials to participate in the course:  Deep Diver Crew Pack, mask, fins, snorkel, BCD with low pressure inflator, regulator, alternate air source, submersible pressure gauge, weight belt with weights, appropriate exposure suit for the local diving environment, dive knife, depth gauge and timing device or dive computer, SCUBA quality compass, whistle, super tube, strobe beacon, dive light, underwater slate, dive tables and log book.
